Benchmark
in sustainability

In 2023, Banca March developed solutions and initiatives to position itself as a benchmark for sustainable growth, ready to face the challenges of 2024:

  • The first Spanish bank to develop a methodology to globally assess the degree of sustainability of mortgage collateral (ESG rating).
  • Banca March has successfully offset 100% of its reported emissions.
  • The new Special Financing Projects Unit was created, to focus on decarbonisation and energy efficiency projects.
  • The Group is a signatory member of the Collective Commitment to Climate Action among Spanish Banks (COP 25).

Environmental
issues

Banca March considers environmental protection, sustainability and the pursuit of eco-efficiency to be material and highly relevant topics as part of its approach to business.

Sustainable
finance

The Bank goes beyond this by seeking to promote economic and sustainable development through two main pillars: financing and investing in industries that are highly adept when it comes to environmental management.
