Banca March launches a new corporate website to address increased demand for market information in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis

  • The number of visits to the Banca March website increased in March, compared to the same month of 2019, by 60% for new users and 37% for frequent users. 
Banca March has launched a new corporate website www.bancamarch.es aimed at addressing the increased demand for quality information about the effects of the coronavirus crisis on the economy and markets. It also offers wealth advice for savers.
The website aspires to be a beacon of knowledge in this crisis, both for customers and non-customers, providing valuable information about the markets and facilitating financial solutions to preserve and grow savers' assets.
Internet searches related to economic, financial and investment issues have increased considerably, reflecting a greater need for financial advice. The number of visits to the Banca March website increased in March, compared to the same month of 2019, by 60% for new users and 37% for frequent users (two or more sessions).
Banca March is currently undertaking an ambitious digital transformation plan, with investments in technology and digitisation amounting to 75 million euros for the period 2018-2020. Banca March's digital strategy is centred around three key objectives: improving the customer experience, providing managers with a wider range of digital tools, and increasing the efficiency of internal processes. Currently, more than 50% of Banca March's customers are digital assets, and in segments such as Private Banking the percentage rises to 64%.
The new website presents the key aspects of the Bank's value proposition in a simpler and more understandable way. In addition to a new overall design, the browsing experience has been enhanced and simplified. Users will be able to find the most important information more easily, whether they are looking for details about markets or explanations about the Bank's proposals for savers: Portfolio Management, Co-investment and Themed Funds.
The new content highlights Banca March's core values of trust, solvency and joint growth, which are particularly important at a time like this when there has never been a greater need for expert financial advice and the investment products and services that complete the Bank's value proposition.
Our main concern during the health crisis created by the coronavirus has been to take the necessary measures to preserve the health of our professionals, both in Spain and Luxembourg, as well as that of our customers, maintaining and ensuring business continuity.
Banca March's priority is the protection of customers' assets. The Bank's business model seeks to achieve long-term results through prudent advice, from the most conservative to the most aggressive portfolios, while acting as a buffer against levels of volatility that have not been seen since 1929.
But the best protection in times of turbulence is the Bank's robustness and the proven strength of its business model. The Bank closed its Three-Year Plan for 2017-2019 with strong financial ratios, making it one of the most solvent banks in Europe, with the lowest default rate in Spain, the highest levels of liquidity and a long history of solid own funds. These robust foundations are enabling the Bank to meet the challenges of the Covid-19 health crisis with determination and commitment.
