Banca March inaugurates new business centre in Madrid's Calle Juan Bravo

  • The inauguration reflects Banca March's strategic commitment to positioning itself as the Spanish market leader in Private Banking and Wealth Management and corporate advisory services.
  • Banca March's flagship branch in Madrid, currently located in Calle Núñez de Balboa, will be relocated to the new centre.
  • The premises spans 800 square metres and is located in a landmark building in Madrid's Salamanca neighbourhood.

Banca March has inaugurated a brand new business centre at number 3, Calle Juan Bravo, in Madrid's Salamanca neighbourhood. The Banca March flagship branch in Madrid, previously based in Calle Núñez de Balboa, will be relocated to the new centre, as will the team of professionals assigned to the Retail and Private Banking Department for Mainland Spain.

This business centre joins the bank’s other 17 centres in Madrid and is a response to the unique, inimitable business model pursued by Banca March, which originated in the Balearic Islands. A business model which is underpinned by long-term relationships and shared growth with customers, a unique range of exclusive products, tailored advisory services delivered by excellent professionals and superior quality service.

The Juan Bravo business centre has been created as a centre of excellence; a space where the new graduates with strong professional skills and language proficiency recruited via the bank's Talent Programme can grow and develop professionally with a view to taking on new responsibilities in the future.

Banca March CEO José Luis Acea said: “The opening of the Juan Bravo centre is among the range of measures outlined in the 2017-2019 Strategic Plan, which seeks to lay the foundations to double our family business and private banking business within five years, with an emphasis on our nature as a specialist in private banking, corporate advisory and family businesses and our clear focus on enterprises and entrepreneurs. This repositioning of our retail network, coupled with the digital strategy we are currently rolling out, brings us closer to the concept of private banking that we want to put into practice: a private bank for the 21st century.”

The new premises occupied by Banca March is located in one of Madrid's most cutting-edge, sustainable buildings, which is BREEAM® certified with a Very Good rating. It is flanked by Calle Juan Bravo, where the entrance is located, Calle Lagasca and Plaza Alfredo Mahou. The space is divided into an access level, which houses the reception area, and two additional floors – the lower and upper floors – which span almost 800 m2. The new flagship branch is located on the lower floor, which has abundant natural light thanks to the windows overlooking Calle Juan Bravo. The upper floor is reserved for the professionals belonging to the Retail and Private Banking Department for Mainland Spain. The business centre can accommodate a total of 40 workspaces.

The inauguration of the Juan Bravo business centre follows the recent relocation of the former Calle de Alcalá branch, which is now located number 2, Plaza de la Lealtad, near to the Madrid Stock Exchange, the Ritz Hotel and Madrid's Museo del Prado. The new branch has a total surface area of almost 280 m2, including three meeting rooms with video conference facilities, a teller's desk, two manager's rooms and an office for senior management.

Banca March began remodelling its commercial network in 2015. The restructuring has involved a series of relocations and improved positions for some of the bank's branches, as well as implementing the new corporate image launched in late 2014. To date, 29 branches and business centres have been renovated and adapted to the new image, and adaptation works are underway at another four, as a reflection of the bank's new business model. Banca March is committed to offering its customers modern, comfortable spaces equipped with cutting-edge technology, where they have full access to the tailored customer service and exclusive support that has always been the bank's hallmark. With that in mind, the new centres have been designed as expansive, light, airy spaces with sleek, elegant lines.
