Statement on the accessibility of Banca March Point of Sale Terminals (POS)

At Banca March, we reaffirm our commitment to universal accessibility and equal opportunities, promoting inclusive access to all our products and services, including Point of Sale Terminals (POS) used by businesses and companies.

Regulatory framework

Law 11/2023, of 8th May, which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882, establishes that, as of 28th June 2025, POS terminals must comply with the applicable accessibility requirements to ensure their independent use by people with disabilities.

Management and compliance model

The provision, installation, and maintenance of the POS terminals sold by Banca March is delegated to a specialised external supplier, who is responsible for ensuring that the devices comply with current regulations.

This provider has confirmed to Banca March that it is working to ensure that, as of the established deadline, POS terminals—both those already installed and those to be distributed in the future—will incorporate the necessary functionalities to comply with accessibility standards, including:

  • Interfaces compatible with assistive technologies.
  • Accessible navigation via physical and/or touch keyboard with audible or haptic feedback.
  • Clear visual presentation, with high contrast and legible typography.

Institutional commitment

Banca March maintains a firm commitment to accessibility and inclusion. Although technical responsibility for the POS terminals rests with our third-party provider, we actively monitor compliance with legal and accessibility requirements.

Additionally, we work in close collaboration with our provider to promote the continuous improvement of accessible features, ensuring that POS terminals evolve in accordance with international accessibility standards and best practices.
