At Banca March, we believe it is essential that all documentation addressed to our customers—defined as a consumer in Law 11/2023—be accessible, thus facilitating equal opportunities in accessing and understanding information related to our products and services. This statement reflects our commitment to ensuring that digital and physical documentation progressively meets the accessibility criteria established in current regulations.
This statement is based on Law 11/2023, of 8th May, on the accessibility of products and services, which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882. This law establishes the requirements that documents related to products and services must meet, including both public documentation and specific documentation intended for consumers. In particular, the sole transitional provision outlines the following deadlines:
Banca March currently has a large volume of documentation that requires progressive adaptation in order to meet accessibility standards. To address this challenge, an external provider has been engaged that offers automated document transformation tools capable of efficiently and accurately adapting existing documents to regulatory standards.
Furthermore, from a preventive perspective, the accessibility guidelines specific to the document creation tools used (such as Word, PowerPoint, Writer, or InDesign) are being incorporated, with the aim of creating documents that are accessible from the outset and reducing the need for subsequent adaptations.
