Banca March optimises its fixed income offering through the merger of March Renta Fija 2025 Garantizado into March Renta Fija 1–3 Years

Banca March strengthens its fixed income offering

Banca March is reinforcing its fixed income range by merging March Renta Fija 2025 Garantizado, FI into March Renta Fija 1–3 Years, FI. The transaction, authorised by the Spanish Securities Market Commission (CNMV) on 9 January, will be carried out during the first half of March and aims to optimise the operational structure of the fixed income range and enhance efficiency for the benefit of all unitholders.

A more efficient investment alternative for unitholders

With this decision, the bank offers investors in the guaranteed fund a new alternative within its fixed income range, with an approximate investment horizon of one and a half years and a focus on euro-denominated fixed income assets. The integration into a single vehicle also helps to improve operational efficiency and optimise costs by increasing the assets of the absorbing fund and strengthening economies of scale in transaction execution.

Return achieved by March Renta Fija 2025 Garantizado

The March Renta Fija 2025 Garantizado, FI fund matured on 2 December and exceeded the guaranteed net return, achieving a net AER of 2.01%, compared with the guaranteed net return of 1.68% for subscriptions made on 28 September 2022 and held to maturity. Following completion of the merger, investors will be incorporated into the March Renta Fija 1–3 Years, FI fund through the allocation of units in accordance with the established exchange ratio.

March Renta Fija 1–3 Years: euro fixed income with an average duration of 1–3 years

March Renta Fija 1–3 Years, FI invests 100% of its portfolio in public and/or private fixed income assets, mainly in the euro area, with an average duration of between one and three years. The fund offers an opportunity to maximise returns on fixed income investments through active management, with a team of experts selecting countries, sectors and types of issuance in line with market conditions.
