Banca March launches thematic equity fund investing in global listed brands 07 November 2024 Category: Products March International – March Universal Brands is a thematic fund that seeks to invest in companies at which the power of their brand is their main source of long-term value generation. The fund's portfolio is fully invested in global listed companies, and is structured around three types of company, depending on their brand profile: Powerful Brands, Promising Brands and Disruptive Brands. This new thematic fund aims to offer compelling returns to investors by harnessing the resilience shown by these brands and their ability to recover quickly in times of crisis. Banca March has launched, through its asset management business March Asset Management (A.M.), March International – March Universal Brands, a thematic global equity fund which invests in companies whose brands are recognised worldwide and which are able to remain consistent in terms of their mission, vision, image and positioning across all the regions in which they operate. The fund invests 100% of its portfolio in globally listed companies. From an investment universe of approximately 3,000 companies, March Universal Brands selects the top 35–45 most prominent universal brands, dividing the investment universe into three sub-themes: POWERFUL brands (companies whose brand is an intangible asset, which is perceived in the same way across the board by all consumers), PROMISING brands (still in the early stages of consumer awareness and growth) and DISRUPTIVE brands (the most innovative, often linked to the technology and digital sector).
