Banca March and Aválam seal an alliance to boost financing and growth for companies in Murcia

01 July 2026 Category: Agreements

  • This agreement reaffirms Banca March's commitment to the business community of Murcia, a strategic market in which the bank opened a business centre at the end of 2024.
  • Thanks to this alliance, Aválam's partners will have access to a special line of financing under preferential conditions to boost their investment projects and cover their working capital needs.
  • This collaboration combines Aválam's key role as a joint guarantor to facilitate credit on better terms with Banca March's specialisation in comprehensive advisory services and financing for companies.

Banca March, an entity specialising in private banking and business advisory services, and Aválam, the Mutual Guarantee Society (SGR) of the Region of Murcia, have signed a collaboration agreement to facilitate access to financing and boost competitiveness for companies in Murcia. The agreement was signed by Felipe Rastrollo, who sits at the head of Banca March's Corporate Banking unit, and Luis Martínez de Salas y Garrigues, Aválam's General Manager.

This alliance is part of Banca March's strong commitment to the region of Murcia, a key market where the bank opened a business centre in the latter part of 2024 to provide a highly specialised service to companies, business families and private banking clients.

Under this agreement, Banca March makes available to Aválam members—SMEs, the self-employed and entrepreneurs—a special line of financing with competitive conditions, intended to support their investment projects, creation, modernisation and expansion of facilities, as well as to meet their liquidity and working capital needs. As a joint guarantor, Aválam will provide the necessary guarantees to facilitate the approval of the transactions and ensure that companies are able to access credit under the most favourable conditions possible.

This collaboration between both entities allows them to raise funds through various products such as loans, credit facilities, confirming and leasing of movable property, thus reinforcing the commitment of both institutions to the development and consolidation of Murcia's business fabric.

Felipe Rastrollo, head of the Corporate Banking unit at Banca March, noted “This agreement with Aválam, signed in the year of our first centenary, reflects our firm commitment to promote and support companies and entrepreneurs in their growth projects, with special attention to family companies and business families. At Banca March, we understand that facilitating access to credit is an essential lever to strengthen an SME's competitiveness, which in turn act as the true engine of our economy. Through this alliance, we are reaffirming our commitment to consolidating our position as a strategic partner for the Murcian business community, providing agile, effective financial solutions fully adapted to the needs of each moment.”

For his part, Luis Martínez de Salas y Garrigues, General Manager at Aválam, pointed out “The addition of Banca March to our network of partner entities strengthens Aválam's ability to offer new financing alternatives to SMEs and self-employed people in Murcia. This agreement expands the options available for viable business projects to access credit under better conditions, maintaining our commitment to supporting the regional business community in its growth, investment and consolidation plans.

With this alliance, Banca March and Aválam consolidate their position as key players in the Murcian business ecosystem, combining the bank's financial strength and general and specialised advice with the valuable support and guarantees that Aválam offers to projects in the region.
