Banca March has renewed the AENOR certification it secured in 2023 for its tax compliance model , endorsing its commitment to corporate governance best practices by incorporating policies and controls to minimise tax risk into its management model. This certification renewal, in accordance with UNE 19602, was achieved after an exhaustive quality audit of the bank’s tax risk policies, systems, procedures and controls by certifier AENOR. The standard UNE 19602 establishes requirements and recommendations on monitoring tax risk to help companies implementing a management system that facilitates the identification, prevention and detection of tax risks with a view to avoiding additional tax assessments, penalties or offences against the tax authorities. It also facilitates transparency with the tax authorities and ensures ethical compliance by Banca March with regard to its relations with the public administrations at the state, regional and local level.
