Banca March has donated 365 computers to the Adelias Foundation, which strives to support the progress and development of children and young people with limited resources. As part of its efforts to bridge the digital divide in the field of education, the Foundation created the Digital Resources Bank, through which it makes IT equipment donated by companies that are upgrading their own equipment available to the educational community and families with very limited resources. The initiative is currently underway the Regional of Madrid, but the project is intended to be rolled out throughout Spain.

Specifically, the IT equipment donated was 365 surfaces, 365 dockstations and 240 mobility chargers. This donation is in addition to the donation made last year, when Banca March donated 300 computers to the Adelias Foundation.

So far, the donation of these 365 computers has provided for the digitalisation of seven education centres in Villanueva de Perales, the city of Madrid, Valdemoro, Valdemorillo, Cadalso de los Vidrios and La Fortuna (Leganés). Once all the equipment has been formatted and distribution is complete, it is expected to reach a total of ten schools.

Sonia Colino, Head of Banca March's People, Brand and Sustainability Unit, said: "The donation of these 365 computers clearly demonstrates Banca March's unwavering commitment to society, especially in the field of training for young people. Thanks to this initiative, seven schools in the Region of Madrid are now better prepared equipped to train their students. Together, we must strive to bridge the digital divide to build a fairer, better-trained society. For a hundred years now, we have pursued a philosophy of Shared Growth, which drives us to continue to respond actively to our social responsibility, whilst always operating in the best interests of our stakeholders: customers, employees, shareholders and society as a whole."
