Statement on the accessibility of Banca March credit and debit cards

At Banca March, we reaffirm our commitment to universal accessibility and inclusion, promoting equal access to our products and services, including credit and debit cards.

Regulatory framework

Law 11/2023, of 8th May, which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882, establishes that, as of 28th June 2025, products used for payment must comply with the accessibility requirements to ensure their independent use by people with disabilities.

Current status and adaptation plan

Based on the provisions of Law 11/2023 and the obligation to have accessible cards, the current series of credit and debit cards issued by Banca March does not yet fully incorporate the established accessibility requirements.

However, from February 2026, Banca March will begin issuing new accessible card models, designed from the ground up to meet all the accessibility requirements demanded by current regulations. These new cards will incorporate specific features to facilitate their independent and secure use, including:

  • Distinguishing notches to clearly distinguish between credit and debit cards.
  • Colour contrast that facilitates visual identification.
  • Appropriate font size to improve readability.

These features are aligned with legal standards and international best practices in the field of accessibility. These new cards have been developed to facilitate independent, safe, and non-discriminatory use by people with disabilities, incorporating specific features that meet legal standards and international best practices in terms of accessibility.

This initiative is part of Banca March's commitment to moving toward a fully inclusive offering, ensuring that new cards issued from that date onward meet the highest accessibility and usability standards.

Institutional commitment

Banca March maintains a firm commitment to accessibility and inclusion. We are working to ensure that the transition to a fully accessible card base is carried out with the utmost rigour and transparency, ensuring that newly issued cards comply with legal requirements and accessibility best practices.
