Accessibility statement for Banca March's Avantio portal

At Banca March, we are committed to providing an inclusive digital experience for all our customers. For this reason, we have initiated a process of continuous review and improvement of the accessibility of all our digital platforms, with the goal of aligning them with the criteria of the international WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standard.

Our goal is to ensure that everyone can access our digital services autonomously and safely, in compliance with the requirements established by Law 11/2023 on the accessibility of products and services.

Regulatory framework

Law 11/2023, of 8th May, which transposes the Directive (EU) 2019/882 relating to the accessibility requirements for certain products and services, establishes that digital platforms from entities that provide banking services to consumers must have been made accessible by 28th June 2025.

Accessible content

Currently, Banca March's Avantio portal is partially aligned with WCAG 2.1 level AA.

The criteria of this standard that are currently met are detailed below:

  • Criterio 1.3.2: When the sequence in which content is presented affects its meaning, software is able to determine the correct reading sequence.
  • Criterion 1.3.3: The instructions given for understanding and operating the content do not depend exclusively on the sensory characteristics of the components (shape, colour, position, orientation or sound).
  • Criterion 1.3.4: Screen orientation is not restricted (except when it is essential to do so).
  • Criterion 1.4.1: Colour is not used as the sole visual means to convey information, indicate an action, solicit a response, or distinguish a visual element.
  • Criterion 1.4.12: It is possible to modify the spacing of the text to improve readability.
  • Criterion 2.3.1: Nothing flashes more than three times in one second, or the flash is below the general flash and red flash threshold.
  • Criterion 2.4.5: There is more than one way to locate a web page.
  • Criterion 2.5.1: A single-pointer alternative to complex pointer or touch gestures is provided.
  • Criterion 3.2.2: When an interactive element receives input, it does not initiate any functionality.
  • Criterion 3.2.3: Navigation mechanisms that are repeated on multiple web pages within a set of web pages always appear in the same relative order.
  • Criterion 3.2.4: Components that have the same functionality within a set of websites are identified in a coherent way.
  • Criterion 3.3.1: If an error is automatically detected upon data entry, the erroneous element is identified and the error is described to the user via text.
  • Criterion 3.3.3: If a data entry error is automatically detected and suggestions for correction are available, the suggestions are presented to the user.
  • Criterion 3.3.4: When users enter legal or financial data, the submission is reversible; the data is reviewed and a mechanism is provided to confirm and correct the information before finalising the submission.
  • Criterion 4.1.3: Status messages can be presented to the user through assistive technologies without needing to be focused on.

Inaccessible content

At Banca March, we are working to progressively improve the accessibility of our Avantio customer portal, with the goal of achieving WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.

  • Criterion 1.4.4: On certain pages, content cannot be scaled to 200% without loss of functionality.
  • Criterion 1.4.5: There are images with text on some pages.
  • Criterion 1.4.10: In some cases, two-dimensional scrolling is required to access the content.
  • Criterion 1.4.11: Some icons and images do not meet the minimum contrast of 3:1.
  • Criterion 1.4.13: The content revealed on mouse hover cannot be closed in some cases.
  • Criterion 2.1.1: There are interactive elements that cannot be operated using the keyboard.
  • Criterion 2.1.2: Keyboard focus gets stuck on certain elements.
  • Criterion 2.1.4: No mechanisms are provided to enable or disable keyboard shortcuts.
  • Criterion 2.4.1: There is no mechanism to directly access the main content.
  • Criterion 2.4.3: The focus order does not follow a logical sequence on some pages.
  • Criterion 2.4.4: Some links do not have a label that identifies their purpose.
  • Criterion 2.4.7: When focusing on some elements, the focus becomes invisible.
  • Criterion 3.1.1: The language is not correctly specified on all pages.
